Carcom

A new trade to trade used car website? is being launched by a team of auction and remarketing veterans.

Carcom.co.uk is a joint venture headed up by chief executive Gerry Lynch (pictured), an ex-sales and marketing director at Inchcape Automotive and former director of sales at British Car Auctions.

The management team also includes sales and operations director Mark Thomas, who was previously with Carsite and commercial director Peter Rosie, ex-head of remarketing at Motability Operations.

The company is backed by Bluecycle, which auctions car salvage online. Bluecycle, a wholly owned subsidiary of insurance firm Aviva, is providing the trading platform for Carcom.

The platform, due for launch in January, offers a trade only fixed price stock locator for independent and franchised dealers to find and sell stock and an electronic auction site that allows dealers to enter and bid for vehicles.

The firm is also launching a lead generation site Findacar for car buyers to upload their vehicle requirements and there is also a disposal option at Sellmycar that enables retail customers to advertise privately owned used cars for sale to registered dealers

Dealers pay a monthly fee of ?99 per retail outlet to avail of all the services. There is no limit to the number of vehicles that dealers can buy or sell at fixed price or at auction.

Carcom said the channel would be a major disposal channel for fleets, leasing and rental companies and carmakers.

What Goals Will You Set For Yourself? | Merrigan Group

November 12, 2012 by MaryEllen?

Goal? ? Noun: the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; aim; end | Synonyms:? target, outcome,?intention

Our family of seven didn?t set goals. We created New Year?s resolutions, Lenten intentions, and Advent ?angel? acts, but no ?goals,? per se.

After I attended a Nightingale-Conant seminar? in my early twenties, I began to set goals.

In a non-scientific way I studied goals. First, I worked with the ?SMART? acronym, ensuring my goals were each:

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Attainable
  • Realistic/relevant
  • Time-bonded

?What was I missing??

Even when my goals seemed SMART-perfect, I could fail.

I read books by?self-improvement gurus like Brian Tracy.

  • ?Goals! How to Get Everything You Want ? Faster than You Ever Though Possible?
  • ?Change Your Thinking Change Your Life ? How to Unlock Your Full Potential for Success and Achievement?

This led to practices like re-writing goals daily. Until recently, I had dozens of journals with page after page of handwritten goals.

Still searching for the ?Aha!? connection, I devoured Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander?s ?The Art of Possibility: Transforming Professional and Personal Life.?

Then, a major success led me to realize a new mind-body connection.

My desire to lose weight once and for all caused me to enroll in a 90-day ?Body for Life? challenge.

Initially, I worked to integrate the meal plan with my lifestyle. (Body for Life encourages frequent, high-protein, small meals.)

It wasn?t until I understood the importance of food and exercise intensity in unison that I began to see significant results.

As my exercise intensity increased, I felt different. Instead of exhaustion after a workout, I noticed energy later in the day.

My commitment became a given approximately halfway through the challenge. I no longer questioned my reasons for participation or the probability of my success.

At the end of the challenge, I?d lost 17 pounds and more than 17 inches.

My physical transformation from a size 12 to a size 8 was significant. More importantly, my mindset altered forever, ?for life.?

You would think that this success mindset meant ?I got it. Repeatable. Guaranteed!? Not so.

I experimented, searching for the perfect mind/body connection that would ensure every goal acheived.

I tried writing my goal list, sealing it in an envelope and then, some months later, reconciling intentions with results. Sometimes the surprise was bigger than expected, as if to prove the thought could direct life actions.

Using short-bursts, such as 21-day goals, I modified habits and thoughts to accommodate my efforts.

When someone suggested I might be driven by goals, I dropped them for a time. No goals left me feeling less directed, less purposeful and less successful.

Obviously, goals fascinate me. Thanks to Tony Robbins, I?ve added clarity and purpose to my goals.

Brendon Burchard?s bestseller, ?The Charge? caused me to focus even more intently on directing goal achievement through mindfulness.

High Performance Academy, a live event from Brendon Burchard, took the goal process to yet another level, emphasizing that goals are about the journey, not the destination.

My conclusion: I plan to happily continue to think about, read about, and set goals. I?ll recommend goals for others.

In the words of Joseph J. Lamb:

The road to success leads through the valley of humility, and the path is up the ladder of patience, and across the wide barren plains of perseverance. As yet, no short cut has been discovered.

What goals will you set for yourself for the coming year?

Scott's Success Story | Sylvan Lake Personal Training - Bodyfit ...

Scott?s Success Story

This is my story of how I went from fat, to fit, and?eventually?opened a gym! ?It is an older story, but I have been getting a few requests for it, so I put it back on?the?website. ?Enjoy!

?

?If you don?t try something great in your life, you?ve already failed?

I have always tried to be athletic and fit. In high school I was never one of those jocks who had it all figured out, but I worked hard and tried everything to play sports and give it my best. All my hard work paid off a few times with a Gold Medal for 3 metre springboard diving at the BC Summer Games in Burnaby, 1984. As well I had success with Gymnastics, ranking 8th in Level 2 in BC at a High School tournament. A related back injury kind of finished that career and I switched to coaching kids for a few years while in College for Architecture. I ran a volleyball league or two, some ski trips, taught disabled skiers for a few years, climbed a lot of mountains, etc, all pretty good for keeping in shape. Then I got pretty motivated to do well at my career, and I got busy, real busy, like, no life except a desk kinda busy. Ok, great, so let?s fast forward about 11 years.

1998. 200 pounds. 29 years old. Worst shape of my life. At my desk all the time. I wanted to be a partner in the firm I was at, and they are a great bunch of people at Group 2, so I really pushed hard. Long days turned to long weeks and long months. I missed a whole Summer in 1998, pretty much living in the office from 8am until midnight or later. My body started to cave in. I was eating poorly, but I tried (from what I knew) to eat healthy-ish. Still, with my schedule, I limited myself to eating fast food and not very often, I skipped lunch or held off on Supper until very late, I missed breakfast sometimes, etc. Then I started to get sick, and doctors couldn?t figure out what was going on. I developed allergies to a lot of things, like pollen, dust, grass, etc. I became allergic to fruit with a peel that you eat, like apples, peaches, nectarines, pears, cherries, etc. All my?favorites. I was not impressed. I was taking extra strength Claritin or Reactine all summer long and mowing the lawn with a mask. Then things began to get worse. I got sick a few times and it never really went away. I began getting dizzy at work and almost falling out of my desk chair. The dizziness made me nauseous, so the Doctor prescribed Gravol, an anti-vomit medicine which makes you tired. So I started drinking tea, which I hated slightly less than coffee, but if there was enough sugar it was ok. Often that didn?t work well enough so I took some caffeine tablets to help me get my high pressure, high stress work done. Soon I began to notice a ringing in my ears, especially at night when I was lying down. My Wife would try to talk to me and the ringing in my ears was louder than her voice so I had to ask her not to talk to me while we were in bed, or to just whisper which was tolerable. Test after test after test, specialists on and on to no avail. They could find nothing wrong. Months went by and I was a wreck, but still working my butt off to get that partnership!

Finally I went to my Doctor with a list of all the symptoms written down and all the test done and non-results received. He reluctantly reviewed the data, asking if it was a comment on the medical system. I said that it was not, but merely a chance for him to see all of my symptoms at once. After all, he saw dozens and dozens of patients a day, I was just another 5 minutes in his long work day, but to me, I?m all I have. He gave me a physical again, but this time he was patient about it and asked me some questions along the way.

?Are you eating well?? ?No. Only things that can be micro waved and eaten in under 10 minutes total.?

?Are you getting enough sleep?? ?Some nights around 5 or 6 hours, often less.?

?Are you exercising?? ?I don?t have time to exercise, I?m too busy.?

?Are you under any stress?? ?Uh, yah! I run a team that works very long and hard hours, I am in charge of millions of dollars worth of Architectural projects that are entirely deadline driven.?

?Well then you need to eat better, exercise, get more sleep, and try to ease up on the stress.?

Best advice I have EVER gotten! I went from his office and got brochures from every gym in town. The next day I began to ask a friend of mine named Pat some nutrition questions. Pat was one of those kids (18 years old) who was in great shape and was passionate about being in great shape. He really seemed to know his stuff so I asked him a LOT of nutrition questions. I compared the gyms I had toured and chose the place I was going to join. I bought a 3 year membership because I knew this would not be a short term thing. That night after work, at the gym, I was handed a video. Body of Work by Bill Phillips. The lady at the gym told me to watch it and tell me what I thought. I went home and sat in the basement and watched the video that night. The movie is a documentary about 7 people who change their lives and regain their fitness in the first ever contest called the ?Body For Life Challenge?, which is now world wide and the industry standard in the fitness industry. I cried. I sat in the basement of my home alone and cried. (my Wife was off at school in another city) I knew that I could change my life and fix this mess that I was in and I was starting tomorrow with more effort than anyone had ever seen! The contest at that time was only open to US residents, so I made my own plan with the help of some friends and a trainer and off I went! I started out slowly to let my body adjust and then I began to work hard! I let my bosses know that I needed to slow down a little and de-stress, which they were very supportive of. I became a student of nutrition, learning everything I could find. In a week the ringing in my ears stopped and the dizziness went away. In two weeks the rest of my symptoms were gone too and I slept like a baby every night. After a month I had shed 20 pounds of excess fat and retained water. Now that I was drinking 3-4 litres of water a day my body no longer needed to hoard it in my cells and I got thinner. Soon a few months passed and I was feeling better than I had in years and years! Then the contest, Body For Life, opened up to Canada and I entered! I focused right in, set high goals and worked harder than I have ever worked in my life at anything. I was 100% focused and committed to this goal and I would surrender for nothing. My body responded in kind, getting stronger, faster and more efficient. I had more energy than I knew what to do with! I held my patience and trusted in the process as my midsection resisted the fat loss until about week 9. Then my abs began to show. It literally took a week from pudgy midsection to washboard abs, it was amazing! I began to get more and more lean and look better and better!

I kept training right up until the deadline I had set for myself and was really amazed at my progress. Some challenges then came about. I had hired a professional photographer to take the ?after? photo?s and they looked TERRIBLE! I was devastated! I called the Body For Life challenge help line and they told me not to worry. Set a new deadline for myself (you were allowed to go past 12 weeks back then ? which has since changed) and find a new photographer. I did so. turns out that the first photographer, despite 3 sessions, kept using portrait lighting ? soft and gentle. That?s flattering if you are getting wedding or graduation photo?s done, but horrible if you want to show off your hard earned muscle separation! The new photographer understood this and took way better shots! In the meantime though, several other things happened to challenge me!

A month before completion, I bulged a disc in my back! It was a silly little jump over a rope that was a foot high! I landed funny and boom! I could barely walk. With my Chiropractor and Physiotherapist working double time, I was back up and running right away. I kept on training my upper body (in pain, but bearable) and soon could use a few of the non impact cardio machines like the cross trainer and bike. I pressed on! Then, a week before completion of the challenge, a 15 pound dumbbell rolled off a bench and landed on the top of my foot! Ouch! More limping, but again, I was able to work through it.

Finally the ?after? photo?s were done and I celebrated and waited. I finished in September, and the judging wasn?t until after Christmas. It didn?t matter, I had a new body, a new life and a new attitude! It was amazing how much more fun I was having and how much energy I had! People kept asking what I had done, how I had learned everything and changed so much. I ended up training a lot of friends and co-workers. It was SO rewarding to see them change and grow too. In the early part of 2000, I got a letter from Bill Phillips of Body For Life and EAS. Inside was a gold medal, t-shirt and some other cool stuff. I stood in my kitchen and grinned while my eyes leaked a little. I did not win, but I was in the absolute top percentage of all of Canada and had done very well. It was awesome!

From there, things moved forward in an amazing direction. After the challenge I had begun talking to Pat about us owning our own gym. I wanted to have a rock climbing facility and a fitness centre combination. We started working on business plans, read books, attended a few courses and learned a bunch. Sadly, our initial idea proved to be way over our heads financially and we shelved it, comfortable in our jobs that we were tired of, but well paid for.

In April of 2000, I was given a ticket to go see T.Harv Eker, a Tony Robbins sort of fellow from Vancouver, B.C. For whatever reason, I was available and my Wife and I went to see this man and his course called ?SpeedWealth?. I was blown away and could not WAIT to take his next course: Money Mind and Spirit!!! My Wife, was not interested. His style did not appeal to her, but she saw that I was fired up, so I went ahead and bought tickets to the next course. At that course, so many things changed about me and my life, I cannot begin to tell you! My Wife, Hilary, ended up joining me for the final day, and she too, learned a lot! It changed so many things and created so much of a shift in our lives, it was stunning! Our marriage had always been great, now it was better. We no longer fought about money at all, as we had been taught where our money issues and attitudes had come from, and how to work with them, instead of fight about them. At the course, Harv promoted his new Business Coaching program: Success Tracs. I jumped in. then he promoted Enlightened Warrior Training Camp, again, I knew I had to go. Hilary said no way ? ?one course is fine, two is way over our head.? We talked and eventually I offered to sell my car to go. she was shocked, but agreed I could go. As it turned out, I got a bonus a month later that covered the cost of the course. First time ever and since that the firm gave summer bonuses. Cool.

The Success Tracs program taught me to set goals and break them down, so I wrote about big my dream to own a gym. That got placed in my 3 year intention, then broken down into smaller pieces and eventually to what I could do that week to move forward. I ordered the study material to become a certified Personal Trainer. the summer went quickly, I got certified and in September, took Warrior. I returned Sunday night from camp, wrote my resignation and on Monday, handed it in. 3 weeks from becoming an associate partner. They were shocked, but understood my decision. I left Architecture and went to work in a gym for $6 an hour. It was a real learning curve and I jumped in to every part of the gym business; I cleaned, scrubbed, fixed, built, ordered, sold memberships, opened the gym, closed the gym, covered shifts, and more. All I could learn, I took on. I started a newsletter in the club and trained all the beginners. I quickly found that this would not pay the bills, so did some contract work with the firm to make ends meet. A perfect fit!

The owner of the gym had talked to me about buying it from her, but after a few months, she changed her tune. She would not even look at the legal offer to purchase and disclosure documents that I had brought in from my lawyers office. Things went sour quickly and I retreated to my old career on a more full time contract basis. I kept personal training and started up at a second gym as a trainer ? seems they had heard what a great job I was doing at the first gym and wanted me to come over. I started once again to find a place to buy.

My search led me to small towns near where I lived, and I became pretty serious about buying a gym called Fitco in Innisfail, a half hour drive from our house. Since the current location was poor, I began to do investigations into land, lease buildings, demographics etc. The owner and I talked about many different parts of his business and the price of his membership and equipment. We were in the midst of those negotiations, when my Wife and I drove to Sylvan Lake to look at houses. If I was to be working in Innisfail, it didn?t matter to me whether we lived in Sylvan Lake or Red Deer, it was a half hour drive. For Hilary though, it was a big difference! Sylvan was 30 minutes closer to her work! We looked around Sylvan and were impressed. I decided to come out for an afternoon and check out the gym in town, since I would likely be using it when we moved. What a dump! In the phone book, Sylvan Lake registered 3 gyms for a town of 7000 people. No room there I had previously thought. By was I wrong! One of the gyms was a Curves ladies only hydraulic, the other was a little bit of equipment in the basement of the smoky legion. The third was the place I was horrified to be standing in. The equipment was poorly maintained, the colours were dark and depressing: black, low ceilings with dark burgundy walls. The screen saver on the front computer (that clients could see) was a playboy model or something exiting a hot tub in a skimpy wet tank top. Not appropriate for a co-ed facility in my eyes. The gym was small and run down. I knew I had found my opportunity and I went for it!

Months of research led me to be 100% confident about building in Sylvan Lake, and with our new house and an acre of land for the gym purchased, things looked great! I forgot one thing though: I was working contract Architecture 4 days a week, personal training nights and weekends, getting the business plan done, meeting with town council on permits and bylaws, plus finishing the basement of our new house. I was hardly sleeping at all, and constantly in high gear. I was hit with a thyroid virus that had me drop 31 pounds in less than 3 weeks. I was not well! I was in bed for a month straight and not very mobile much after that. It took 3 months to get over the virus, and thankfully I found an immune system rebuilding herbal product that saved me from the return visit that the virus is patterned after.

Finally I was well enough to resume things and construction began in December of 2001. On February 13th, we had a problem. the bank had gone under new management for the commercial sector and they cancelled my financing. With construction over $350,000 complete, I did not have the money to pay the bills. I told the contractor the news and asked him what he wanted to do. He told me that he strongly believed in me, and that I needed to just find a way to get the money and keep going. He knew I had a winner on my hands, and that I had the guts to make it succeed. That was all I needed to go for it! I hit the street hard and talked to 13 banks before coming back to the first one, and asking what it would take to change their mind. I needed to come up with some more money into the project. That was it. I quickly got on the phone with my parents and relatives and raised the money needed to get the project rolling again.

On May 27th, 2002 BodyFit Fitness Centre, Sylvan Lake opened it?s doors to a long line up of people waiting to get in and buy memberships. We were packed solid for 5 hours straight with 5 of us writing up agreements and 3 others handling the crowd. Within 2 months we had enough members to pay the bills and hire more staff. One of the BEST things I did, was hire my old training partner, Pat Lessard to be my Assistant Manager. He is the most amazing person you will ever meet, and absolutely a foundation of the success of my business. Actually, I could say that of all of my staff ? they are spectacular!

From there, things just got better and better! The gym became more and more successful and all of the new costs, taxes, start ups and such seemed to be manageable. So far, so good!

With more staff, I have been able to concentrate on my own health, writing my book (www.yourbodycar.com for more info) and more!

In 2004, we were awarded the Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for 2003! A HUGE accomplishment and a tremendous honour! It?s been a challenging road, but through it all, I wouldn?t change a thing! Now we are finding a way to expand so we can incorporate a bigger child care operation, bigger studio, more personal trainers, and indoor rock climbing! I am personally training to compete in the Half Ironman July, 2005, speaking to people around North America on my book subject of health and fitness, and things look great!

Search Engines Search for Websites With Best Content ? The ...

There are millions of results and options for search engines because there are millions of websites. Did you ever wonder how search engines select what comes up in results?

You should try to understand so that you can better handle your website and what you post on it.

Paid Search Engine Results

First, there are paid search results?the results that pop up in shaded areas at the top of and the side of website search results. You pay Google through an AdWords campaign to pop up in those areas for set keywords. They charge you every time someone clicks your ad.

Organic Search Engine Results

Below paid search results there are ?organic? results. You can write excellent content and actively engage in social media daily and can turn up in organic results.

Anyone with a website that is built in a current application, with the proper coding and programming can show up in organic results.

Want to know how to got there? So do we. So we research this online everyday. We use proprietary software, run analytics and consistently decipher what?s putting websites at the top of search engines so that we can know and understand why one website came up first and at the top of search engine results and why another website is at the bottom of the first page.

This is what Franklyn Galusha does for the Marketing Square. Franklyn is a Top 100 Legal and Medical SEO expert. This means he?s one of the best in the country at search engine optimization for law firms and medical firms. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the technical term for online marketing for websites.

SEO today is a complex and intense mix of online activities that are required of website owners. SEO is not easy to understand or to do. It?s a computer science and technical process controlled by how a website is built, how it?s coded, backlinked and what content is on the website. SEO is a paid service that is recommended year-round.

How to Come Up in Organic Search Results

You can write content for your website, interact with your social media and comment on relevant blogs, create video and consistently add to your online marketing activities.

The key is to be strategic. If you?re creating a blog post for your website and you sell car stereos, then it?s best to provide relevant, quality information regularly to your audience.

Does this audience like video better than reading? A video will quickly tell your story and can explain things faster and with visuals. Include some photos. Make sure that you?re writing a lot of quality content and not copying it from anywhere. Plagiarism will get your website penalized quickly.

What?s Quality Website Content?

Here?s a thought: If you haven?t read or touched your website lately why would a search engine include it in results?

All Marketing Square clients learn how to blog, add/change/delete photos, video, headlines and copy. We include social media training and online marketing specific to client needs.

We figured that your business invested in the website so it?s only reasonable that you want continued online exposure for your company. If you want us to do your continued online marketing activities we will. But we?re going to show you so that you don?t have to call us if you want to change your copy or add a picture from an event.

You have to update your website content regularly, consistently with a range of media to keep search engines interested in what you do. Let your website sit and you?re wasting a valuable resource.

We Train You How to Post to Your Website

We?ll train your team or a marketing person when we?ve rebuilt or built your website because if you don?t continually update, your traffic won?t continue. You may need some direction and we?ll give you a marketing plan to go along with the website. This plan has a list of activities you?ll need to do online AND activities you need to do outside of the website.

When you get your rebuilt or newly built website we teach you daily activities to keep your website fresh, interesting and different. We do this to satisfy the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo.

Just because you have a website doesn?t mean it?s going to be included in search engine results. You have to have certain things on your website that will attract search engine robots that scan it for content.

Old, dated, boring content on websites means your website is sitting unused. No search engine wants that kind of information. Search engines have one job: provide the newest, best, most qualified information websites in results.

Because of this, we tell all clients to set aside an hour a day and create a to do list for your online marketing activities that direct traffic to your website. Choose from the list we provide. It?s advanced, but you can select one from each section and build up over time to enhance your skills.

Getting Your Ex Back In 4 Steps - How It's Done

Getting Your Ex Back In 4 Steps - How It\'s Done

If you're undergone a breakup recently, you probably feel completely out of control of your emotions - and your future. It's normal to invest a large majority of your own hopes and dreams within a relationship with another person. When that relationship ends, it seems like the loss of much, much more than just a romantic involvement. It marks the loss of hopes, dreams, security, comfort and even friendship. You do have control of one thing - yourself. You can turn the tide and get your ex back again, but only if you're willing to make a genuine effort and avoid costly mistakes in the process.

Step 1: Come to Terms With Reality:

Nothing gives you a reality check quite like a breakup that you were completely unprepared for. There are a thousand thoughts clashing in your brain, and you desperately want to get your side of the story out in the open. You have counter-arguments to every excuse your ex put on the table, and you don't feel like you were adequately heard.

As harsh as it may seem, now is not the time to force your ex into a long debate. Their mind is already set, and you're just not going to change it. The last thing you want is for your ex to view you as unstable, clingy or attention-starved. If they do, changing that perception down the road is going to be a much more difficult prospect. As counter-intuitive as it may seem, your best option at this moment is to give your ex ground and accept their decision. You're going to change their minds later on - but now is simply not the time.

Step 2: Temporarily Walk Away:

You do not have to be completely be over your ex in order to take some time for yourself. In fact, taking some moments to yourself in order to assess the situation and handle some of your negative emotions can be largely beneficial to you personally - as well as the likelihood of getting your ex back. Although your ex may insist that they're ready to move full speed ahead alone or with someone new, they're still vulnerable. There are counting on you as a safety net so they've been keeping a watchful eye on you to see how you're reacting to the aftermath of the breakup overall.

By taking a break and limiting the contact that your ex has with you, you're shaking the very ground of what they believed to be a firm foundation. When trouble strikes, they'll have nowhere to turn and they will start to doubt the breakup - and your true feelings for them as well. If they can't see you hurting, they will automatically assume that you're doing okay, even when nothing could be further from the truth. The need for validation and reassurance will ultimately win out over their need to distance themselves from your relationship and they'll be anxious to reach out by any available means.

Step 3: Become the Best Possible You:

If you take an honest look at yourself right now in this moment, what would you change if you could? Why would you change those things? Would you do it because you think that's what your ex ultimately wants, or are they areas that genuinely need some work?

If your answer was the later, then you have a golden opportunity ahead of you. You get the unique perspective of viewing yourself in a crucial moment in time - and you have every opportunity and ability to make necessary changes. No one is perfect and human nature is flawed. We grow over time and while growth can be productive, it is not always easily noticeable. Sometimes you have to take the opportunities you're given, and you're not likely to get an opportunity more profound or potentially valuable than this one.

Remembering the beginning stages of your relationship can give you some valuable clues. It can point out things that have taken a turn throughout the course of your relationship and give you important clues towards possible contributing factors. By addressing those issues and striving for improvement you can focus on yourself and give yourself the perfect opportunity to evolve into someone who is overall more confident, self-assured and pleasant to be around.

Step 4: Allow Your Ex to Pursue You:

Now you will finally start to see the results of all of your efforts and hard work. You've undergone an enormous transformation and if you think it's gone unnoticed you're in for a big surprise. Your ex is starting to realize that you're keeping your distance on purpose. When they realize they can't reach out to you at will, the panic is going to start sinking in.

That panic is going to start causing a reaction that will be unavoidable. They will start testing the boundaries. They mistakenly thought that they could maintain control indefinitely - and they were wrong. Their risk is seeming less profitable and more risky by the moment and when they realize that reconnecting is not as simple as sending a simple text message, they're going to have to come up with another plan - one that will put you in the best possible position to win your ex back.

Why leave something this important to random fate? When reconnecting is this important you want to put all your ducks in a row to make your dream a reality.

What To Do Next

Now that you understand the basics, it is time to takes things up a notch. First you have to understand the no contact rule and how that works to make your ex start chasing you and seeing you in a more mysterious and positive light.

You should also be aware of signs ex still likes you. Knowing where you stand is a necessary part of getting your ex back. The last thing that you want is to make a fool of yourself in front of them.

Marijuana Tourism Could Arise in Colorado and Washington After ...

Travelers Today | By Katie McFadden

Updated: Nov 10, 2012 11:04 AM EST

Colorado may draw in tourists for its high altitude Rocky Mountains, but that isn't the only high tourists might be getting in the state. Marijuana tourism might be on the rise in Colorado and Washington after the states voted to legalize the drug.

According to the measure that was passed, adults, over the age of 21, can possess small amounts of marijuana. This goes for residents and visitors. Tourists won't be able to take a weed souvenir back home with them, but they can purchase and use it while in Colorado or Washington.

Marijuana fans might not be able to celebrate just yet and tourists might want to wait before booking their next flight to Colorado or Washington, as the legalization of the drug still has more battles to face. Under federal law, marijuana is still illegal . Lawsuits may arise from the?U.S. Department of Justice, which may prevent the drug from truly being able to be used legally.

If the drug does truly become legal, some believe that Colorado could turn into the next Amsterdam, as the Aspen Times had the headline "Aspendam?" the day after the legislation passed. Tourism is the second biggest industry in the state and some believe legal weed could change the industry, but otherz say it won't affect too much.

"It won't be as big a deal as either side hopes or fears,"?Colorado's tourism director, Al White?told the Associated Press.

Ski resort owners are definitely paying close attention to which way the weed battle goes, but they aren't making any set plans just yet.

When?Jennifer Rudolph of Colorado Ski Country USA, a trade association that represents 21 Colorado resorts, was asked if the resorts would open marijuana cafe's, she said?"There's a lot that remains to be seen," Rudolph said with a chuckle. "I guess you could say we're waiting for the smoke to clear."

Those in ski resort regions showed strong support for the legalization of the drug. These busy tourist areas showed more support than less visited areas. Aspen approved the measure in a 3-to-1 vote. Vail, the home of the biggest ski resort in the state, approved of the measure by two-thirds. Those near the Telluride ski resort showed the most support with 8 in 10 people approving of the measure, according to AP.

"Some folks might come to Colorado to enjoy some marijuana as will be their right. So what?" Betty Aldworth, advocacy director for the Colorado marijuana campaign?told AP.
Aldworth admitted that people already smoke weed in smoke shacks at various ski resorts.

"Some folks come to Colorado and enjoy some marijuana while they are here today," Aldworth said.

While some don't think it will change tourism too much, other think the legalization of marijuana will keep tourists and business travelers from coming to the state.

"Colorado's brand will be damaged, and we may attract fewer conventions and see a decline in leisure travel," Visit Denver CEO Richard Scharf said in a statement.

Colorado's governor?John Hickenlooper opposed the marijuana measure. He doesn't think tourists will come to the state just for some weed.?

"I don't think that's going to happen," Gov. ?Hickenlooper said. "They're going to flock here to buy marijuana as if they're going to take it back? On an airplane? That seems unlikely to me."
While some are skeptical about marijuana tourism in Colorado, it seems more likely to occur in Washington ?as the state already draws in over 250,000 people to its "Hempfest" in Puget Sound, Seattle. During the three day festival, people are allowed to smoke at a local park.

"People travel to Seattle from other states and countries to attend Seattle Hempfest every year to experience the limited freedom that happens at the event," executive director Vivian McPeak told AP. "It's reasonable to assume that people will travel to Washington assuming that the federal government doesn't interfere."

The face of marijuana tourism may be changing?in Amsterdam. The Dutch government had plans to create a weed pass, which would only allow residents to have access to the drug at marijuana cafes, however the idea was thrown out. Certain cities can still choose to ban tourists from weed shops though.?

Exclusive: Schulze's Best Buy bid seen in December, below range

NEW YORK (Reuters) - An eventual bid for Best Buy Co Inc by founder Richard Schulze could come in under his initially proposed $8 billion range and will likely not occur before December, sources familiar with the matter said, in a new twist to the months-long saga at the struggling electronics retailer.

The former chairman has done most of his due diligence on Best Buy and has formed a business plan to turn around the world's largest consumer electronics chain, with his efforts now focused on lining up financing for a deal, the sources said.

At least three private equity firms - Apollo Global Management LLC , TPG Capital LP and Leonard Green & Partners LP - are considering joining Schulze in the bid, the sources said. Cerberus Capital Management LP, which was among the buyout firms that weighed joining the bidding group, is no longer working on the deal, one of the four sources said.

The sources declined to be identified because the information is not public.

The Richfield, Minnesota-based company has been grappling with tough competition from online retailers and the aftermath of a boardroom drama that led to Schulze's departure and the ouster of his onetime protege.

Schulze said in August he could acquire Best Buy for $24 to $26 per share, valuing the deal between $8.16 billion and $8.84 billion and, if debt is included, as much as $10.9 billion.

But Best Buy's shares have since fallen more than 20 percent to trade just above $15. The stock was up 1.6 percent at $15.50 on Friday afternoon on the New York Stock Exchange.

While a final decision on the offer price has not been made, the drop in shares has raised the likelihood that Schulze's bid could be below $24 per share, the sources said.

Schulze is expected to take a 30-day extension to mid-December for submitting a final proposal to Best Buy's board, they said.

The founder's efforts to clinch equity and debt commitments for what could be one of the largest leveraged buyouts of the year were delayed by superstorm Sandy which disrupted operations at several major Wall Street banks.

An extension will also give Schulze and the buyout firms a chance to see how Best Buy is performing in the crucial Christmas holiday season, the sources said.

There are no guarantees, however, that Schulze will ultimately be able to secure financing for the proposed buyout. Schulze has said he plans to fund any deal through a combination of private equity and debt financing, as well as the reinvestment of some of his own equity in the company.

Best Buy and Apollo declined to comment. The other private equity firms could not be reached for comment.

EYES ON INVESTOR DAY

Best Buy has seen its fortunes falter over the years, as consumers increasingly use its big box stores as showrooms for products they end up buying online at Amazon.com Inc and other websites. To add to its troubles, the company forced out Schulze's protege, Brian Dunn, as CEO earlier this year amid allegations the executive was having an inappropriate relationship with a female employee.

That scandal also led to the ouster of Schulze, who founded the company in 1966, from the board, and to Best Buy hiring turnaround expert Hubert Joly as its CEO to come up with its own restructuring plan.

Joly will have more of a chance to distance the company from its founder next week, when he unveils more details of his own turnaround plan to Best Buy investors in New York.

Barclays analyst Alan Rifkin expects Joly to reinforce the retailer's commitment to its brick-and-mortar stores and talk about his plans to win shoppers from online and discount rivals with better service and a wider product assortment, both in stores and online. Rifkin, however, does not expect Joly to announce any significant store closures next week.

"I don't think they have gotten their arms around the entire real estate portfolio just yet. We do think they need to rationalize their domestic square footage," said Rifkin.

Analysts also think Best Buy needs to do something soon to address consumer perceptions that its prices are higher than those of online giant Amazon's.

"Mr. Joly needs to balance cost cuts which can prop up earnings. But by the same token, he needs to outline investments and initiatives that will make the stores and the brand compelling to the American consumer," said Bradley Thomas, an analyst with KeyBanc Capital Markets. "The challenge will be finding that right balance."

Best Buy, which has now posted declines in same-store sales in eight of the last nine quarters, has said it planned to match online prices on some items this holiday season.

One analyst has said that Best Buy's declining fortunes could make a buyout more attractive for some investors.

"We are starting to believe that current shareholders may be more receptive to Schulze's previously disclosed offer of $24-$26 per share than we previously believed," Morningstar analyst R.J. Hottovy said late last month.
